Fosmid Library Construction
	CD Genomics offers fosmid library construction and associated services including end sequencing. We use the Epicenter CopyControl Fosmid Library Production Kit to produce a complete and unbiased primary fosmid library. Randomly sheared genomic DNA is end-repaired, sized on a low melting point agarose gel, and subsequently ligated into the pCC1FOSTM Vector. Lambda packaging of the ligated DNA is then carried out in vitro packaging system. Following infection of the appropriate host strain, the fosmid clones are selected on an antibiotic plate.
	Properties: o Average DNA insert length 30-45kb o Primary colonies ~ 1 x 10⁵ o 100% recombinants o Library screening service offered o End sequencing offered
